You are the shiny clock
telling the same time
just the new kid on the block

The others worn surfaces
show the labors and scars
of the time past

Even if you deny that
that will ever happen to
you think again and
look in the mirror to see
the beauty that is lost.

The thought of you makes me weak

The lies are heaping up in the
